Anaya Deshmukh

Anaya founded Daughters of India at age 10. Her work brings together storytelling, financial literacy, debate and community projects designed to give girls more information, stronger role models and greater confidence in their own decisions.

01Daughters of India & Community Work

Through Daughters of India, Anaya has worked on projects around education, financial literacy and access. The organisation records more than ₹10 lakh in charitable funds donated and deployed and more than 5,000 books donated through its literacy work.

The same themes now connect the editorial archive to practical learning through Money Matters, financial-literacy resources, Leadership Circles and youth-led community pathways.

02Author & Editorial Work

Anaya writes for Daughters of India on financial literacy, independence, girlhood and the differences between the systems young people encounter in India and elsewhere. Her bylined work is presented as first-person reporting or commentary where appropriate, with named sources and references retained on the article itself.

Her editorial work also informs the platform's conversation tools and youth learning projects, connecting the questions raised in stories with things readers can discuss, test and practise.

03Debate, Diplomacy & Public Speaking

Anaya is an IB Youth Ambassador and has participated in competitive debate, Model United Nations and public speaking.
